Temperature degree

Temperature degree is part of temperature scale. According to a way how a scale is divided to degrees are discriminated Celsius, Absolute (Kelvin), Fahrenheit, Rankine and Réaumur scales and other which are not met commonly.

Temperature is physical value which we indicate in temperature degrees and which base unit in SI system (The International System of Units) is kelvin (which is used in connection with thermodynamic temperature). Other units are for instance degree Celsius also known as centigrade degree (used in most of world), degree Fahrenheit (USA), Rankine degree (out-of-date unit) or Réaumur degree (almost non-used). For measuring of temperature are used devices called thermometers. Branch that deals with measuring of temperatures is called thermometry.
