Absolute zero

Absolute zero is theoretic temperature which according to current knowledge cannot be achieved but is possible to greatly approach. Value of absolute zero is 0K (kelvin) or -273.15 °C or -459.67 °F, lowest measured in laboratory environment was under -273°C. Absolute zero is state of solid with lowest possible internal energy.

Temperature

Temperature is physical value which we indicate in temperature degrees and which base unit in SI system (The International System of Units) is kelvin (which is used in connection with thermodynamic temperature). Other units are for instance degree Celsius also known as centigrade degree (used in most of world), degree Fahrenheit (USA), Rankine degree (out-of-date unit) or Réaumur degree (almost non-used). For measuring of temperature are used devices called thermometers. Branch that deals with measuring of temperatures is called thermometry.
